160. THREE PORTRAITS
(sequel of "75 bus")

On the same spot in the “Shchutsky's forest” where the action “75 bus” took place (11.10. 2020), and where still remains some materials of it, new artefacts were attached to the trees:

- two white pieces of paper with poems by Wang Wei (translated by Shchutsky),

- a portrait of Shchutsky (6 x 8 cm)

- portrait of E. Schwarzkopf

- portrait of D. Fischer-Dieskau

(these last two portraits - 4 x 5 cm - were covered with yellow maple leaves).

During the mounting of these portraits and poems, a phonogram with songs performed by Schwarzkopf and Fischer-Dieskau sounded (Schubert: I sit quietly on the hillside, you go beyond the mountains, High on the top; Beethoven: Three tunes to verses by Goethe; Bettina von Arnim: On verses from Goethe's Faust; Debussy: "Mandolin"; Anton Webern: 5 songs on poems by Demel; Alban Berg: Under the golden rain of happiness; Medtner: 7 poems by Pushkin ("Rose" and "Muse" in English).

Then, on a tablet installed on the leaves between the trees with Schwarzkopf and Fischer-Dieskau, a video of D. Bowie's performance of the song "On Mars" (1973) was played, and AM had read aloud a fragment of the text from Le Tzu (translated by L.D. Pozdneyeva, starting with the phrase "Teacher Le Tzu, heading to Wei, decided to have a bite by the road. His companions noticed a century-old skull and, turning the wormwood, showed it to the teacher" and ending with the phrase: "All the multitude of things comes out of the smallest seeds and returns to them") …

Significant moments of the action were "the entrance" into the space of the event (at the Sokolniki metro station, observation from the height of the stairway the site of excavation and construction works of the "Stromynka" metro station) and "the exit" from it (through a wide and long alley from the "Lyamin's dacha" past the old water tower up to 5 Luchevoy Prosek).
