173. READING – 2023 (Journey for the oboe)

Having passed through the site of the THREE PORTRAITS action in Shchutsky's forest (all objects of the action have been preserved) 50 meters to the north, G. Titov began to wrap the forest with a thin white rope approximately 1 kilometer long. When all the rope was wound from the reel, the text by A.M. from 1971 “Journey for the oboe” (from the series of texts for the “Big Reading”) on a laminated A3 sheet was tied at its end and hunged on a branch.

A.M.  read aloud the text from this sheet. Then Sitar and A.M. cut the ropes with scissors, destroying the winding on the trees (the ropes remained lying on the ground). After that, all participants were given a 10x15 cm photograph as a factography, depicting a hole in the grass that was discovered in the Heidegger-Hagen clearing, which remained there from the peg of the “Wrapping the peg with silver cord” action that someone pulled out of the ground. The laminated sheet with the text “Journey for the oboe” was left hanging on a branch at the scene.
