186. The Buddha Head at Kaufhof

The action consisted of two parts. The first part was a trip to the Izmailovo Field, where the "Appearance" of Collective Actions had taken place, with the sculpture of a Buddha’s head (garden size in black), on the bottom of which was attached a laminate with a QR code leading to the video "The Golden Asp" (CA, No. 33, 1985) on YouTube. The installation of the Buddha’s head in the deep snow and AM`s leaving of the field carrying the head on his shoulder were filmed by DN. In addition to the documentary video recording of the events on the snowfield, a version of this video was created with editing and slow-motion effects, resulting in the sound effect of a "lion’s roar." This edited video, “Lion’s Roar,” was used in the second part of the action in the city of Witten on two QR codes that SH attached to a window of the former Kaufhof department store. The store is currently undergoing renovation; prior to the start of the renovation, it had stood empty and closed for more than five years.

186. Der Buddha-Kopf am Kaufhof

 

Die Aktion bestand aus zwei Teilen. Der erste Teil war eine Fahrt zum Izmailovo Feld, auf dem die "Erscheinung" der Kollektiven Aktionen stattgefunden hatte, mit der Skulptur eines Buddha-Kopfes (Gartengröße in Schwarz), an dessen Unterseite ein Laminat mit einem QR-Code befestigt war, der zum Video der Aktion "Goldene Natter" (KA, Nr. 33, 1985) auf YouTube führte. Das Aufstellen des Buddha-Kopfes im tiefen Schnee und AMs Verlassen des Feldes, mit dem Buddha-Kopf auf seiner Schulter, wurden von DN gefilmt. Neben der dokumentarischen Videoaufnahme der Ereignisse auf dem Schneefeld wurde eine weitere Variante dieses Videos erstellt, bei der das Material neu montiert und verlangsamt wurde, wodurch der Soundeffekt von "Löwengebrüll" entstand. Dieses bearbeitete Video "Löwengebrüll" wurde im zweiten Teil der Aktion in Witten auf zwei QR-Codes verwendet, die SH an einem Schaufenster des ehemaligen Kaufhauses "Kaufhof" anbrachte, das sich derzeit im Umbau befindet und vor Beginn der Arbeiten mehr als fünf Jahre leer stand und geschlossen war.
